WHO WE ARE

iBhayi Fiesta is Nelson Mandela Municipality's signature summer celebration, a bold, energetic cultural movement rooted in Gqeberha. Born from the spirit of the city and its people, iBhayi Fiesta is a year-round experience that brings together Nations through music, dance, food, art, and empowerment to uplift communities, inspire youth, and celebrate our rich heritage. Held annually on 31 December in Gqeberha, festival is supported by a series of cultural and lifestyle activations throughout the year,  including Mother’s Day, Youth Day, Women’s Day, and Heritage Day. Each event is designed to unite the Eastern Cape through shared expression, economic opportunity, and festive joy.
